Antwonn Gathers-Founder & CEO
The Carolina Classic Hair & Fashion Show was created in 2019 by professional barber and community leader Antwonn Gathers, a native of Charleston, SC. Hair shows and barber battles are nothing new to him as he's received numerous awards throughout his 20+ years in the industry. He has placed 1st or 2nd in all barber battles in which he has competed.
When Antwonn envisioned the show, he realized hair and fashion are forms of freedom. This event was created for all people, from all backgrounds to have the opportunity to express themselves freely and without judgement. He also realized no one was orchestrating a hair and fashion show combined in South Carolina at the time. Tapping into both markets simultaneously was a no brainer and he decided it was time to launch.
The Carolina Classic Hair & Fashion Show is expected to be one of the biggest attractions in the Carolinas within the next 4-5 years. Antwonn expects his vision to reach people not only in the Carolinas but on a global scale. This event was not created by chance or coincidence but by pure destiny. The Carolina Classic Hair & Fashion Show will be a major event in the very near future and the buzz has already started. It’s a new wave, a new experience and a new way to incorporate
both hair and fashion.
Kris Kaylin - HOST
Kris Kaylin is a dynamic multimedia professional based in Charleston, SC, known for her engaging presence across multiple platforms as the host of popular shows including Diva Talk, What Was Said Podcast, Princess Diary, and In the Loop, and as a correspondent for Media Girls Network where she delivers fresh perspectives on entertainment and culture.
A proud native of downtown Charleston, she is deeply rooted in her community, a committed member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and a 2016 graduate of South Carolina State University.
Her work has been featured in major outlets such as TMZ, Billboard, Complex Magazine, and The Shade Room, and she has guest-hosted on Power 105.1 FM’s nationally syndicated The Breakfast Club Morning Show. Kris’s excellence has earned her widespread recognition, including being named a notable alumna by HBCU Times (2025), one of Bossip’s Top 50 notable HBCU alumni, Charleston’s “40 Pros to Know” (2023), a recipient of the Mu Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Scroll of Honor and the Blue Note Black Excellence Award (2024), an Honors in Black honoree (2022), a member of South Carolina State University’s inaugural “Top 40 Under 40” class, and a Boss Women Award recipient (2021).

Lolita Frazier is a fashion industry professional with over 20 years of experience, serving as a master runway trainer, body confidence coach, and visionary founder of Strut Talk Runway Therapy. She is the creator of the Local Strut Runway Experience and specializes in fashion show production, model recruitment, runway coaching and development, and mentorship. Lolita’s work centers on empowerment through movement, confidence, and purpose, using fashion as a powerful tool for transformation on and off the runway.

Ashton Abraham was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. She discovered her passion for acting her senior year of high school, and went on to become Miss Henderson Davis Player at South Carolina State University and Graduated with her BA in Drama. During her time at her beloved HBCU she learned no matter the obstacles life throws at you KEEP PUSHING!
In 2020 during the pandemic of she found her love for modeling and joined Deabreu acting/modeling. In 2021 she signed with Inclusion management for acting. Ashton’s aspirations for the future are to be added to the list of legends that came out of South Carolina. Her hope is to inspire those who see her work and make them feel like they can do anything they work for.
